Yes, We Want More For Our Family!
It’s fabulous Friday, and today I wanted to share something from my friend, Phil Humbert. He shared this message earlier in the week:
Successful people are pro-active. They take ACTION before they have to. They act long before the “last minute” because they are “ahead of the curve.” They save and invest for the future, rather than spending in the moment. They plan ahead. As you set goals for 2010, are you also dreaming, planning, scheming and arranging for 2015, 2020, and beyond?
My question for you is . . .
When you set your goals for this year for family, health, business/career, spiritual, relationships, financial, and personal did you pause to consider anything beyond — like 2015, or 2020?
When I am coaching members of my team, we talk about looking at each specific area and really asking the BIG question, what would YOU be doing if money were not an issue — how would you spend your time – what would your day, week, month look like in these areas — who would you be spending time with, what would you be eating, how do you look, how do you dress, what kind of car do you drive, where do you live, what does your home look like, what is your family doing, where are you traveling, what are your spending and saving habits, how much are you able to donate (and to what causes), where do you volunteer?
When you have a description for each each area, then write a WHY statement combining them all together in the present tense.
Then, the magic begins when you put pictures to your written WHY . . . remember ‘a picture is worth a 1,000 words.’ If you want a new Porche, go take a picture of you with the Porche in the exact color your want. If you want a certain body, cut out the body from a magazine and put your head on top. If you want a certain vacation, put that body in the vacation picture. If you want a baby and haven’t had one, put a picture of a baby on your Dream board. Once you have your full size dream board, you can shrink it down and several ‘mini’ boards and keep your WHY and goals firmly in front of you strategically located in the bathroom, the kitchen, your office, your day planner, and the dashboard of your car.
When you put pen to paper, then add the magic of photos, statistics show the likelihood of succeeding is substantially greater.
Here are some closing thoughts for you:
* MAN WAS DESIGNED FOR ACCOMPLISHMENT
* The difference between winning and being 2nd is very small.
* YOU LEARN FROM SUCCESSFUL FAILURES.
* To build a winning attitude, you need to take care of your health . . . and Liberation Wellness is the best Partner!
