  1. I overcame heart failure with odds of 99 to 1 against me by following the diet of WAPF and the health advice of Dr. David Brownstein and others. Even though I required surgery to implant an LVAD (left ventricular assist device) I was able to heal my heart and have the device removed a year later. I have written about my journey, lessons learned and the specific path I took to wellness in my book: “One Percent: My Journey Overcoming Heart Disease” available on Amazon.
