You Have Limitless Potential!
Posted by Debbie Wysocki on February 5, 2010
It’s Fabulous Friday and my kids are excited . . .it’s a Friday with no school.
Parent Teacher Conference Day . . . and I’m happy to report both kids brought home all ‘As’ so we’ll
be celebrating with lunch and a movie!
It’s importance to celebrate your successes in life.

Today’s Secret Edge for Exceptional Living Tip comes from Dr. John Maxwell with a little commentary
thrown in from me.
KNOWING YOUR PURPOSE
Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life. Each of us has a purpose for which we
were created. Our responsibility — and our greatest joy — is to identify it.
Maxwell gives us some questions to assist your in finding your purpose:
1. For what are you searching? All of us have a strong desire buried in our hearts — something
that speaks to your deepest thoughts and feelings. Something that FIRES US UP.
2. Why were you created? What are your unique abilities? What resources are available to you?
You must be objective. . . and this is no time to be humble.
3. Do you believe in your potential? If you don’t believe you have potential, you will never try to
reach it.
This is kind of like Henry Ford’s quote ”Think you can, think you can’t, either way you’re right.’
Here’s another quote that really makes me go hmmm
‘Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.’
~ President Theodore Roosevelt
4. When do YOU start? Do you have to ask? NOW!
Rick Warren has written a best-seller called the Purpose Driven Life for further reading about exploring your purpose.

Each of us has our own definition of success, but I like this one:
Growing to our potential!
We have nearly limitless potential, yet too few of us ever try to reach it. If you don’t take the time
to think about what gifts you’ve been given and what you want create with your gifts, you could end up
bouncing around like a basketball being dribbled by me (FYI, I am completely uncoordinated with round objects
called balls).
One last quote . . .
‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.’
~Winston Churchill
Have an amazing weekend!
