I just came across your blog from a link on the Weston A. Price Foundation’s Facebook page. AMAZING is all I can say! Thank you for sharing the truth. As a Christian and Certified Biblical Health Coach I find that fellow Christians rely so heavily on their doctors and medications. The Church is full of ill people and most don’t want to hear of a better way. You would think that we Christians would be more open to natural healing the way God intended things to be. I added you to my blog list and look forward to reading through all of your posts. God bless and keep doing what you are doing!
I think if you get the priest, or reverend to encourage the parishioners to be more open to natural healing, you may get a better response. Many religions strongly encourage obedience and not to question. So when the person has a doctor tell them to “take a pill” they oblige. It makes perfect sense, they are following the church like sheep, it should be no surprise that they follow doctors the same way. It is all they know in many cases. If we encourage people to question, who would run off to war without questioning. My own mother would not question her own doctor when the antibiotic she was on for 6 months was still not working. The parade magazine had a older, white haired, physician on the cover strongly requesting people to get a second opinion. This my mother would not do. When I suggested she read it, she had an appointment scheduled for the next week. You see, even though she had been told every reason in the world to get a second opinion, it was the messenger that mattered most. She was raised to obey the physician and now the order was to get a second opinion. She never gained her vision back in that eye to it’s previous state because it was too late. So if the clergy gives permission for the parishioners to check out options, they will follow
Obesity is a heavily discussed topic in early 2010. Regardless of new “fat tax” laws and increased costs on fatty foods, the epidemic hasn’t shifted for the better. There are many clear cut causes of obesity, including behavior and heredity. With that, the obesity-depression link is also a very strong and important agent.
I’d love the opportunity to represent depression as a serious and highly influential cause of obesity. Please, take a moment to consider this as it would be a privilege to contribute a guest post to http://liberationwellnessblog.com.
Wholesale changes to the nation’s diet, with a move towards vegetarian food and away from beef and cheese, have been recommended by Government advisers in the UK.
