Hello Kevin,
It was WONDERFUL speaking with you; I still can’t believe it! I love your book so much, it is absolutely the best I have ever read on my favorite subjects…nutrition and exercise! The chapter on RAW milk is SO convincing and well written. I can’t even imagine someone reading that and walking away with any other conviction except to drink raw milk! I’ve been in an ongoing (sometimes heated) debate for the past three years with my brother who is convinced that I’m going to die of Listeria. J
When my husband said, “why are you getting that book; you’re not really going to learn anything new are you?” Well, much of what is in your book is simply solid reinforcement of what I have been able to glean from many bits and pieces, but much better written and very clear. And to my delight, I actually have learned a lot that I didn’t already know. That has been the icing on the cake, so to speak, cake made with coconut flour and REAL butter for sure! LOL!
It’s funny all of our low-fat friends and relatives come to our house for dinner and eat our high-fat/low carb/raw dairy foods as if they can’t get enough – like starving wolves!!!!

But then they go home and continue their very misguided low-fat lifestyle.
I do my best to be an ambassador but they are SO brain washed by the USDA and main stream media. I see them with their weight gain issues, allergies, their eye twitches, skin disorders, accelerated aging, sleeping disturbances and strained nerves and just sigh!
It is certainly a fragile battle to be fought, to help the ones we love without jeopardizing the relationship, isn’t it?
THANK YOU for being the diplomat of everything right and wholesome; for going out on a limb and risking ridicule and mockery in order to get the truth out there!
I appreciate what you have done and admire and respect you more than I have words to express! In light of the new USDA food guidelines, getting receptive ears is only going to get tougher.
My very kindest regards,
Lynda,
Arlington VA

Hello and welcome back to The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!
Today Jimmy shares his conversation with personal trainer and Liberation Diet author Kevin Brown.
Listen in as Kevin describes the speedy success he’s had with his clients ever since he decided to do the “opposite of what all the nutrition experts say.”
Today’s conversation ranges from the influence of the great Dr. Weston A. Price to the roots of the American Heart Association (and its founder’s opposition to the cholesterol theory of heart disease) and the three foods Abraham served to God when he came to dinner
(hint: there was no Pepsi, margarine or Tofurkey at that momentous meal)!

Strawberries are supposed to be delicious summertime treats; they shouldn’t cause cancer.
Methyl iodide, approved for use as a pesticide by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2007, is dangerously close to being approved as a soil fumigant for strawberry crops in California and spreading as a widely-used pesticide for crops around the country. The best way to make sure we stop the use of methyl iodide on our food supply is to get straight to the problem: the EPA’s decision to approve the chemical in the first place.
Click here to sign our petition: tell the EPA to ban methyl iodide from our food.
http://action.freshthemovie.com/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=3268
Methyl iodide causes cancer. It is a known neurotoxin and thyroid disruptor and has also been proven to cause spontaneous abortions in late-term pregnancies. Methyl iodide is even used to intentionally induce cancer cells in lab settings. And yet, the EPA has decided that methyl iodide is fit for our food, for our communities and for our bodies.
The time has come to raise our collective voice in strong opposition to the use of methyl iodide as a pesticide on our food. Please join us in our effort to stop this pesticide from reaching our food.
Click here to sign our petition: tell the EPA to ban methyl iodide from our food.

We’re joining in this petition campaign with our friends at CREDO Action, a group of progressive activists who recently organized more than 26,000 people to oppose California’s effort to approve methyl iodide. The EPA can reverse its decision on methol iodide at any point. Now is the time to make sure they do so.
We have until the end of June to tell the EPA how we feel about this toxic chemical. We will deliver your comments to the EPA in collaboration with CREDO Action and the Pesticide Action Network North America.
Please add your signature today.
http://action.freshthemovie.com/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=3268
Let’s make sure the EPA hears our momentous outcry. This is a truly horrific toxin that we must keep out of our already battered food system. Please share this widely, with those who you care about.
Eat safe,
Lisa Madison

On Friday the National Independent Consumers and Farmers association (led by secretary Liz Reitzig), sponsored a special screening of “FRESH, the Movie” to Legislators and Aides on Capital Hill in Washington DC.
An important food safety bill is in front of the Senate right now. Bill S.510 could potentially affect the local food system and threaten small farms from standard operating procedures. Fresh is a documentary that asks the viewer to consider everything that goes into the foods we consume- from farm to table. The film educated the legislators on the benefits of the local and sustainable food system which potentially could be put at risk by the S510 bill. Fresh producer Ana Sophia Joanes and celebrity farmer Joel Salatin (Food Inc, Fresh, Omnivores Dilemma) were in attendance and introduced the movie. They also educated the attendees on the topmost importance of preserving our precious sustainable agriculture system. This was very important work done by the Fresh team, which has seemed to have really moved to the forefront of the organic and sustainable food movement.

Butler Pa (Pittsburgh Area)

7PM @ DAYS INN Route 8 Butler PA
Open to the Public
Contact – Sylvia 412.828.9542
Main Speaker – Kevin Brown, President Liberation Wellness
As a certified personal fitness trainer, Kevin was frustrated being unable to deliver consistent results for his clients. Once he discovered that the nutrition protocols he was taught in school were designed to fail, Kevin set out to develop his own wellness program, the Liberation Diet.
He realized that 100 years ago, we didn’t have the obesity and chronic disease epidemic we have today, and that we need to look at the way our fore-fathers ate to uncover the truth about diet. Once the new-old-fashioned methods were implemented, clients began to get spectacular results.
Having the need to help many more people than just his local clients, Kevin has co-authored the Liberation Diet Book, which contains the secret of long-term healthy weight loss.
Kevin has spoken on national and international TV, radio and for medical professionals across the US and Canada about good nutrition and the important role it plays in disease prevention. He recently spoke at the Farm to Table event in Pittsburg, and for the Midshipman at the Annapolis Naval Academy
Liberation Wellness provides various programs both individually and corporately including, nutrition counseling, personal fitness, in-home cooking, real food education, motivation, and nutrition certification
Liberation Wellness Blog is written by the Liberation Wellness team, who are a group of health professionals and real food advocates providing timely and accurate health information as well as activism and encouragement.
Kevin Brown is president and co-founder of Visionary Trainers Inc., one of the largest in-home personal training companies in the Mid Atlantic Region. Visionary Trainers is the fitness arm of Liberation Wellness
He is also is the creator of LiberationFitness.com, an online interactive fitness website which provides exercise, diet, and health information to people around the world at an affordable price. about good nutrition and the important role it plays in disease prevention.

Culture Club 101 is a grass roots company that was conceived in October of 2008. Inspired by the book Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon founder of the The Weston A. Price Foundation we saw a need and desire for these almost forgotten foods and preparations.
We are committed to bringing back into awareness the food traditions of the past that were useful and beneficial to human health and vitality.
We offer classes and hands-on workshops to assist people in gaining confidence particularly in the art of lacto-fermented cultured foods.
We present monthly lectures and films for education and inspiration. Internships and co-op memberships are also available for those with a passion about these principals.
And since food is the intrinsic part of our business nutrient dense and delicious foods are regularly and delightfully enjoyed by all who come to Culture Club 101 be it in our classes workshops films lectures or at our Farmers Market booth in Pasadena CA.
Our Motto is and will always be Its all About the Food
